Sunday of the Paralytic: Faith That Seeks Healing
On the fourth Sunday after Pascha, the Orthodox Church commemorates the healing of the paralytic, reminding us of the power of faith and the mercy of Christ, who restores not only the body but also the soul.

On this blessed day, the Divine Liturgy was prayerfully celebrated in our parish. A good number of parishioners gathered together, united in prayer and thanksgiving to the Risen Lord, filling the church with a spirit of reverence and Paschal joy.
Through the Gospel reading, we were reminded that even when a person feels weak, forgotten, or without help, Christ Himself comes and asks: “Do you want to be made well?” This question calls each of us to respond with faith and trust in God’s will.
Following the Divine Liturgy, a joyful and heartfelt moment took place in our parish community. We offered warm congratulations and prayers for health and many blessed years to our young altar server Vitaliy, who is celebrating his birthday. The parish lovingly sang “Many Years”, asking the Lord to grant him strength, growth in faith, and many joyful years.
After the service, our parishioners, together with the rector gathered in our parish hall to continue fellowship and spiritual conversations over a cup of coffee. In this warm and friendly atmosphere, the spirit of Christian love and unity continued beyond the service.
May the Lord grant healing, strength, and steadfast faith to all who seek Him, and may we always remain united in prayer and love as one parish family.
