Thomas Sunday (Antipascha)
On the Sunday following Pascha, the Holy Orthodox Church celebrates Thomas Sunday, also known as Antipascha. This day is dedicated to the holy Apostle Thomas, who at first doubted the Resurrection of Christ, but later confessed with full faith: “My Lord and my God!”
This feast reminds us that faith is not always born instantly. Sometimes, like the Apostle Thomas, a person seeks, struggles, and questions. Yet Christ does not reject such a soul. Instead, He comes with love, patience, and truth, revealing Himself to those who sincerely seek Him.

On this blessed day, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in our parish with prayerful joy and reverence. Many faithful gathered to continue the Paschal celebration, giving thanks to God for the gift of the Resurrection and for the strengthening of our faith.
A special moment of the service was the cutting of the Artos — the blessed Paschal bread that had remained in the church throughout Bright Week as a visible sign of the presence of the Risen Christ among us. After the prayer, the Artos was reverently cut and distributed to the faithful.
Each parishioner received a portion of the Artos and brought it home to share with their families and loved ones, as a blessing and reminder that Christ is truly risen and remains with us always.
May the example of the Apostle Thomas strengthen our faith, so that even in moments of doubt, we may come to a living and unshakable confession of Christ as our Lord and our God.
